Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join the Software team as the core creator of documentation for the BaseCase platform. From reference manuals to release notes, you will be working on a variety of documentation projects and will be a key component in communicating the technical aspects of the platform to our user base.

Your Responsibilities

  • Liaise with several different teams within BaseCase (software engineering, support, success management), to determine documentation needs.
  • Manage documentation projects, from start to finish and on an agreed timeline, where you:
    1. Gather documentation requirements
    2. Propose a documentation structure
    3. Iterate drafts of the document, obtaining feedback
    4. Complete document
  • Maintain and update existing documentation.

Your Qualifications

  • You are a team player but also comfortable working independently with minimal direction.
  • You have a university degree (Bachelor) or equivalent qualifications. A technical degree is preferred.
  • You are very comfortable writing about technical topics.
  • You can clearly and succinctly explain technical topics.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and spoken English - a native-speaking level of fluency is required.
  • You have at least 1 year of technical writing experience, preferably in a software company.
  • If you want to move to Germany, you must have a valid work permit (e.g. EU citizenship). 
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
