The Inside Sales Business Development Representative role at BaseCase could be the start to your career. Responsibilities

  • Manage daily sales call activity according to defined expectations, with the purpose of influencing customers and increasing sales.
  • Effectively and persuasively communicate with customers using effective selling, listening and negotiation skills, proper terminology and approved messaging.
  • Generating Leads and Opportunities through outbound, strategic & targeted prospecting into life sciences companies.
  • Own the comprehensive business-development process: cold calling / outreach, conduct email campaigns, set up customer meetings and conference calls, deliver follow-up materials, and maintain ongoing contact with warm prospects.
  • Verify and complete required data entry in Client CRM systems, such as details of the target’s responses and any follow-through actions.
  • Strategic calling to leverage business from new and established relationships
  • Prospecting into both cold accounts as well as into new groups, divisions, etc. of existing customers
  • Achieving monthly Quota of Qualified Opportunities – meetings
  • Be a trusted member of each account team and help define the business approach for your specific region and deliver a joint strategy
  • Be on the forefront of evangelizing BaseCase
  • Collaborating with Key Account Managers and other cross functional teams
  • Pipeline Management

 

Required Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree
  • 1+ years’ experience in inside sales. Sales acumen, knowledge of prospecting techniques.
  • Previous experience working in inside sales for a 3<sup>rd</sup> party / vendor to pharma, medical device, or biotech companies
  • Work permission for the US or US citizenship
  • Fluency in English 

Preferred

  • Science background
  • Technology experience with CRM tools
  • Medical Affairs and Market Access services or SaaS experience
  • Complex account and territory management experience

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Clear, articulate and grammatically sound speech and professional phone manner. Speak articulately with prospects and decision makers at the appropriate level, and make quick decisions accordingly.
  • Manage and upkeep of the customer and prospect database (Salesforce.com).
  • Ability to learn, understand and communicate complex information over the telephone.
  • Strong rapport building skills and active listening skills.
  • Excellent selling, closing, persuasion and presentation skills.
  • Ability to display high-levels of initiative, effort and commitment successfully complete projects and assignments.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate complex technical/medical terminology and to maintain the required technical expertise including competitive product knowledge.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Good organizational and planning skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  • Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and working proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
